What is a blockchain
Not done

A blockchain is a shared, tamper-resistant digital record of transactions, maintained by a network of computers rather than one company or bank. Once a transaction is confirmed, it cannot be edited or reversed.

Wallets vs. exchanges
Not done

An exchange (like Binance) holds custody of your crypto for you, similar to a bank — convenient, but you rely on their security. A self-custody wallet (like MetaMask) means you alone hold the keys — full control, but full responsibility too.

Private keys and recovery phrases
Not done

Your private key (or recovery phrase) is the only thing that proves ownership of your crypto. It must never be shared, photographed, stored online or given to "support". Anyone who obtains it can take everything, instantly and irreversibly.

  • I know never to share a private key or recovery phrase

Public addresses are safe to share
Not done

A wallet address is like an account number — sharing it only lets people send you funds. It cannot be used to take money from you.

Why crypto job and investment scams work
Not done

Scammers use urgency ("act now"), unrealistic guaranteed returns, and official-sounding language to bypass careful thinking. The most common current pattern asks a recruit to receive money from a "client" in their own bank account, convert it to crypto, and send it onward for a commission. This is money-mule activity used to launder funds, and taking part can carry serious legal consequences for the recruit — even if they did not realize it.

⚠️ No job on this platform will ever ask you to receive someone else's money in your personal account. If it happens, refuse and report it immediately.

A five-point scam checklist
Not done

Before accepting any crypto-related job or opportunity, check:
1) Are you ever asked to receive someone else's money in your personal account?
2) Are you promised guaranteed high returns with no risk?
3) Are you pressured to act immediately?
4) Are you asked to share your password, 2FA code or seed phrase with anyone?
5) Would a real, licensed company ever operate this way?
If any answer raises concern, stop and verify independently before proceeding.
